Hi everyone,

I got safely to Barb's on Wednesday just hours before she was to leave to spend the night at her daughters so they could go to her work at Oregon State College, where she is a Professor in the Vet department, the next morning and to the George Straight concert in Portland on Thurs. evening. I came in my underware and couldn't go to a concert like that! So Barb got busy and made me a cute cowgirl outfit. Since this was during the time of the sniper we decided we didn't want a gun. We like horses and rodeos and country singers better. My dress is made of purple felt and white taffeta attached top much like the ones from the 50s dolls. She put silver fringe trim on the skirt and vest and gave me a cowgirl white hat. I was dressed to the 9s. Because her little granddaughters were going to be at her daughters for awhile she took a bed for me and borrowed a nighty from my 50s cousins for the night. The little girls tucked me into a vintage Ginny bed and I slept comfy that night to be awakened by the Ginny Barb had given to Terri when she was little. She is dressed in a newer outfit as Barb is trying to find more items for her original one.

What a busy day we had. We drove through the beautiful Oregon fall country side going to OSU. I got to see Terri's office and we waited in a nice cozy room while she taught. Barb read and I just took in the nice old building and old heat register and the fall trees outside the big windows.

After Terri came we went house hunting as she sold her home and is looking for one closer to work. It was fun to go in and look at some. She made no decisions yet.

We then drove to Oregon School for the Deaf where on of Barb's foster girls goes to school. It was nice to see such a big campus with nice mature and maticulous landscaping.

Then, then, then, we were off to the concert. We finally got a parking space and went in and found our seats. Can you believe we were just behind the floor seats in the first row of risers behind them. The stage was in the middle of the Rose Garden and we had some of the best seats in the house. First we saw JoDi Messina and finally George. He is so handsome and wow what a voice. I was in 'country heaven'. It was so much fun!

The next day we came back to Barb's and I have been taking a much needed rest. Today we are watching the Duck football game. I wonder if I will get my own pom poms. Barb has the little granddaughters and her daughter in law, so I may just have to watch without them, but I will be rooting for them anyway.

I am having so much fun. Love to everyone.

Hi everyone,

Today was the Duck football game that the whole family was going to watch and Barb thought I should be a cheerleader and made me an Oregon Duck one. It is a gored green felt skirt with a yellow taffeta blouse with a big green O on the front. She borrowed some material from an official pom pom and made one for me. Her granddaughter Jess who is 7 got the digital camera and took 'thousands of pictures' of me in her words. As the family looked at them on the computer Barb started singing....Round, round, get around, I get around...for you younger gals it is from a Beach Boys song in the 50s. That sure discribed me in all the photos in all those places. Unfortunately the Ducks lost the game, maybe because I wasn't there to cheer them on the whole time. Better luck next week. I am now resting from my busy day and will talk to you all later. I am having fun here in Oregon in God's beautiful country. Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour so you will be getting up earlier tomorrow. Goodie I can have some more fun with the little girls.

Barb promises to get some photos posted soon so you can see me in my new clothes and with my new friends. Bye for now...do I have a name other than Ginny?

Hi everyone, you can see me with Jessica and Allison having fun this past weekend at the park. They took me on the slides, swings and twirling tire. I had a blast with the children and that is what every doll wants. My new dress was given to me by the girls from their box of Ginnys.
