Hi Everyone, Well I arrived safely at Mary Lou's house. Nancy hand-delivered me when her mother and she paid Mary Lou a visit. They sure didn't stay long--just long enough (while Mary Lou dried her hair) to get a good look at all the girls I am going to meet. ML was running a bit late as usual. :) Of course I arrived in just my underwear and with only my journal so she found me some clothes to borrow while she finished the ones she was making for me. She didn't want me to be embarrassed when I met everyone. Thanks, ML!!

The girls in the house where I am staying are all so friendly; they've really made me feel at home. Mary Lou quickly finished the jumper she was making for me to wear with the blouse that she had already finished. She gave me some shoes too so I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy now. The girls showed me all around the house so I'd know where everything is. They tell me we're going to have so much fun while I'm here. I'm so happy that I know I'm going to go right to sleep tonight and sleep like a baby!

The weather was warm today so a bunch of us went to the park down the street and had a picnic and played for hours. All of us carried something so we didn't have to come back and get other stuff--we took everything in one trip. Boy the food was good, and was I ever ready for it! Skinny Ginny came by on a tricycle wearing a raincoat, hat, and boots. She had brought a hula hoop with her and was prepared to stay and play even if it rained. That's thinking ahead! I got to ride on the tricycle for awhile; she let everyone take a turn. Someone even rode on the back while someone else drove. We pretended we were firefighters going to save people in trouble. Unlike 9/11 though we were able to rescue everyone safely and quickly. No one was hurt.

Another friend came by after playing tennis. We all enjoyed playing with the hula hoop. I wonder where she got it from? Muffie was determined to follow ME down the slide. She keeps following me around--I think she really likes me. We're getting to be good friends. Oh no, I think she's going to go down head first on her tummy. I'm beginning to think she's a daredevil!

Some of us walked down to a little vendor's cart of flowers. I couldn't resist bending over and giving them the sniff test. UMMMMMMMMMMM I LOVE flowers! So many different ones too. We couldn't afford to buy any of the ones on the cart but we did find some wildflowers to pick and take home to Mary Lou
