Agent: Okay. Mrs. House, can you tell me about yourself?

Esther: Yes, well, I’m also 37 and lived here all my life. I work as a secretary, not because I have to, but because I enjoy it and it keeps me busy. I love children. Being a mommy has been something I’ve wanted since I was very young.

Agent: Do you have age or sex preferences?

Esther: We were thinking in the 4-6 year old area. No specific preferences to the sex, but I know Evan would love a son to do outdoor things with. Of course, it would be nice to have physical features fit ours as close as possible.

Agent: By not specifying a baby, you make the prospects better and it could shorten the waiting time some. The first thing we need to do is give you these papers. Fill them all out at home and then drop them off when you are finished. After I get them back, we’ll begin the background checks and interviews. At that time I’ll also start putting together a folder of possible children for you to meet.
