Dott: Hello…..hi, what can I do for you?

Case Worker: Dot, I have a big favor to ask of you and Phillip. Could you take in a pair of 4 ½ year old twin boys tonight and their 9 year old sister in a few days?

Dot:It would be a squeeze, but of course we can. Any idea of how long they’d be here?

Case Worker: Probably as long as you can handle it. Their parents were killed tonight in a car accident. The sister needs to stay in the hospital for a few days, but the boys can be released tonight. So far we haven’t been able to find out if there is any other family. We’re checking, of course.

Dot: Oh how terrible! We’ll be there as soon as my sister can get here to watch the kids. Shall we meet you in emergency?

Case Worker: Yes, that would be fine. Dot, I really appreciate this. I really feel the best place for these three right now is in your home.

Dot: See you soon. Bye………

Dot: Esther, I need you over here right away. Phillip and I have to get to the hospital and pick up a couple of boys who are going to stay with us. I could leave Punkie in charge, but I feel better having you here since it’s dark out.

Esther: I’ll be there in 10 minutes. No problem.
