Some of these obituaries were hard to come by, so getting them, I thought maybe I would share the information that is in them. Besides the information that comes in so many of these older obituaries, the way they wrote in those days was just as interesting. I have typed it exactly as written, so please pardon the spellings and punctuation.

Funeral services for Clarence H. Malott, 85 , of Route 2, Box 54C, Jacksonville, who died Thursday, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Conger-Morris downtown chapel. The Rev. Vern Shipley of the Free Methodist Church will officiate. Committal will be in the Logtown cemetery.
Mr. Malott was born March 30, 1882, in Joplin, Mo. He had lived in Southern Oregon for 35 years. He was a charter member of the Upper Applegate Grange. His wife, Grace, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph Joseph Malott, Everett, Wash., and Eberett H. Malott, Central Point; one brother, Maj. Ray Malott, Salvation Army, Enid, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Grace Whittiker, Salem; and four grandchildren.
Casket bearers will include LeRoy Calkins. Clarence Arnold, Ralph Harger, Harvy Rowden, Mike Cox and Sam Octinger. [Dec. 10, 1967; Medford Mail Tribune; Medford, Oregon]

Funeral services are pending for Joseph Butler Malott, 92, who died at Jacksonville Saturday. He is survived by a son, Clarence H.

Mrs. Wiley R. Pugh, 55 a resident of Deer Lodge since 1913, died at the family residence, 817 Fourth Street, Wednesday morning after a prolonged illness. The death of the beloved matron is mourned by numerous friends and acquaintances.
Mrs. Pugh was born Pearl Ann Malott in Kansas July 22, 1886. She married Wiley R. Pugh in Iola, Kan., in 1906 and together they came westward, settling in Deer Lodge in 1913.
The prominent woman was a member of the Presbyterian church, the Order of Eastern Star, the Milwaukee Woman's club, the Missionary society and the Presbyterian guild.
She is survived by her husband, Wiley; four daughter, Mrs. N.C. Reglien, Michigan City, IND.; Mrs. Floyd McGuire, Los Angeles, CAL;Mrs. A.C. Council, Butte, and Mrs. W.C. Crichton, Deer Lodge; five granchildren, Gayle and Mickey McGuire, Judy, Norma Ann and Jennifer Reglien.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Saturday at the Presbyterian church under the auspices of Eastern Star. Burial will be in the family plot in Hillcrest Cemetery. [Feb. 12, 1942; Silver State Newspaper; Deer Lodge, Montana]
